DuPage Pads Volunteer Day

Clothes, a television, and a vacuum were all on one fathers wish list, and the team at Pointe Pest Control made it their mission to fulfill those wishes with the direction form DuPage Pads, an organization that provides interim and permanent housing and support services to end homelessness. The nonprofit held their annual Adopt-A-Family event and the pest control team were more than willing to adopt the family of four. “I’m glad that our team stepped up to help this family for the holiday season,” said Communications Manager for Pointe Pest Control, Jodelle Maglaya. “It makes me happy to see other people happy, even if it’s just for a moment.” The team volunteered their time to purchase gifts for the family who will be surprised with them on Christmas day. Staff members also collected gifts for adults in the housing program, who will all leave with a gift at DuPage Pads annual holiday party. “You know you’re working for a great company, when its’ mission is to do all they can for others, without getting anything in return,” said Maglaya.
